Recruitment Policy

  • To comply with all International and National rules and regulations including STCW Code 2010 and (Maritime Labour) Convention 2006, as amended, while recruiting and placing seafarers on board our managed vessels.
  • To man vessels with medically fit, suitably qualified, & certified seafarers as required by the ship owning clients.
  • To ensure that during the selection of seafarers no means, mechanism or list is used with the intention to prevent or deter seafarers from gaining employment for which they are qualified. The recruitment will be carried out without any discriminatory policy or bias based on race, colour, sex, religion, political opinion, national extraction or social origin.
  • To ensure that no fees or other charges is borne by seafarer, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, other than the cost in obtaining CDC, SID, passport or other similar travel documents.
  • The right to privacy of the seafarer and the need to protect confidentiality as per general employment practices is maintained, hence seafarer’s personal data including but not limited to – seafarer’s qualification; record of employment; personal data relevant to employment and medical data relevant to employment is collected, stored, processed and combined, but not communicated to any third parties.
  • To ensure that the selection and recruitment of seafarers is carried out only on the basis of merit and in accordance with the requirements of principals and the seafarers are not subject to exploitation of any kind by company personnel including offer of engagement on a particular ship or by a particular ship owner.
  • To ensure that seafarers recruited by the company are not exploited by way of payment of joining advances or similar financial transactions by the ship-owners.
  • To maintain the service standards and achieve continual improvement by effectively implementing the documented management system and identifying and providing training to the staff ashore as well as on board
